Abby's First Playdate

Today we went to meet Kim and Mike's new daughter, Laura Nicole! She is exactly 4 weeks younger than Abby, and an adorable teeny little peanut! It's amazing what a difference 4 weeks makes! Laura was only a half pound smaller than Abby at birth, but Abby is huge now compared to her! Abby had fun meeting her new friend, and her older brother, Michael. I'm sure we will have lots of fun playdates in the future!

Abby liked flirting with Michael, and he thought she was so funny when she kept falling over onto him. He is an excellent big brother!

Hot Days of Summer

Today we decided it was time for Abby to put on her first bathing suit (and last bikini, Daddy says, until she's 40) and go for a "swim" in Nana and Grandpa's pool. I'm pretty sure that she's not supposed to be in a pool until after her 2 month shots, so Daddy just held her in the water for a little bit.

Abby didn't mind being in her suit out on the deck in Nana's arms....

....but she really didn't like in when she first got into the pool and got her feet wet!

After a while, she was content to relax in Daddy's arms with her legs in the water for a few minutes.

Nana and Grandpa Capture Her Smiles!

On Saturday, Nana and Grandpa babysat for Abby while Mommy went to Giselle's baby shower and Daddy was hard at work on the golf course. She had fun playing with them, and they were able to capture a few of her smiles on camera! We've gotten her to smile at us a bunch this past week, but haven't been able to have the camera ready for one. Good job Nana and Grandpa!

Abby Meets Her Cousins

On Friday night, after a bunch of cancellations due to various types of sickness at the Oceanside Bates' house, Abby finally got to meet her cousins! Kylie had gotten to meet her the week she was born, but it was the first time Nicholas and Kacie got to see her. We had a pizza dinner (but not pizza tour- when will Abby be old enough for one of these?). Abby was a bit cranky, since she has decided she doesn't like car rides too much, but slept peacefully in Aunt Kristin's arms much of the night due to some expert swaddling :) Here are some pictures stolen from Kristin, since we forgot our camera...

What's new with Abby!

Well, under pressure from certain individuals, I've decided to attempt to keep up a webpage for Abby :) I haven't figured out how to do many things on this yet, and I don't know how good I"ll be at updating, but I'd like to share pictures of her and the fun things we do.
