Merry 1st Christmas!

We had a busy and fun 1st Christmas with Abby! She was spoiled by Santa and her family, and got lots of fun new toys and clothes. We had a nice time with the family at Uncle Mike's on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning, we got up and opened presents, and headed to church with Nana, Grandpa, and Uncle Dom after an early morning nap. Then it was off to Nana and Grandpa's for more presents and dinner. That evening, we headed out to Uncle Keith and Aunt Kristin's for dessert and MORE presents with the cousins and Grandma and Pop Pop. She took all of the traveling quite fantisically, and a good time was had by all!

Trying to high five Charlotte
Next year, they'll be able to play together!
She tried to open her presents
But she mostly just ate the wrapping paper
She looks like this rolling monkey is the present she always wanted! Or maybe she's going in for more wrapping paper....
Her stocking was full of goodies
And she's very excited to have Daddy teach her to play basketball
Dressed up for church and eating her new blocks
Opening presents with Grandpa
Lots of new toys
Hanging out with her cousins

Trying to Crawl

Our baby girl is trying to go places. She's not big on rolling, but lately, she has been "creeping" around- usually backwards. The other night, she actually got herself up on her knees and in a position to crawl, but she hasn't yet figured out what to do with her hands to get moving. Therefore, when she couldn't figure out what to do next, she got really upset about the whole thing! I have a feeling we're going to have to start babyproofing the house soon- hopefully not until after Christmas, though!

Baby, it's cold outside...

The weather has turned super cold, but it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas :-) We took Abby to pick out her first Christmas tree this morning, and Santa was there, too, so we took her picture with him!

6 Months Old

We can't believe how fast our little girl is growing. It makes me a little sad, but at the same time, she is doing lots of new things that are very exciting! She can sit up on her own for quite awhile, even though we put pillows around her because she tends to topple over without any notice. We put together her high chair, and she sits with us while we eat dinner. She has fallen into a great eating, napping, and sleeping schedule, and sleeps from 7:30-6:30 pretty much every night. She loves playing in her jumperoo, the exersourcer, the bath, or sitting up on the play mat and grabbing the dangling toys. At her doctor's appointment a week ago, she weighed 18 pounds, 1 oz (75th percentile) and was 26 inches long (50th percentile).
